Thinking With Your Heart
$99
Since primary school, we’ve been barraged with pictures and TV ads depicting the heart as a pump. News articles show pictures of implants and other mechanical devices, with headlines such as: "A Boost for a Failing Pump." This muscle drives blood through valves that prevent backflow, through a system of tubes that stream blood from places of higher pressure to places of lower pressure. But the common and accepted conception of the heart is flawed and incomplete as it pertains to healing and medical practices, as well as for psychology and spirituality. How can we heal ourselves or feel love and courage with a pump? We miss profound truths about our well-being by maintaining simplistic images of anatomy and ourselves as Human Beings. Woody Allen said, "It's very hard to get your heart and head together in life. In my case they're not even friendly." This course unites thoughts with feelings and directions to help build self-awareness and fuller lives.
