The Hidden Wisdom of Goethe

What can we learn about ourselves by a study of Goethe? Quite a bit, it turns out because he was a man of great practical wisdom which we can use all of the time in our lives.

For example, he suggested that we distinguish between the physical world, the world of feelings and the world of concepts. Without the realization of this ability, we remain like animals rather than to think, feel and act like Human Beings.

Though Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is one of the world's foremost poets and dramatists, (the German Shakespeare)) his place in science is inadequately appreciated.– Goethe’s poetic, philosophical mind urged him to synthesize, to reduce diversities to a higher unity. His research led to the discovery that all plants are variations of one primitive type and that nearly all parts of a plant are variations of or developments from the leaf. In this course, we’ll gain an understanding of his wisdom and enhance greatly our knowledge of ourselves and what to do with this knowledge.
